Noshaq expediton, i.e. Afghanisthan seen by an European guy

At the beginning of August I did manage to happily return from the mountains and Afghanistan. It is not so easy to get back to normal after a long trip and separation from civilization. However meanwhile many things have happened and I can’t wait to tell you about them. I would like to tell you how it is to be completely alone in mountains, how crows ate my last food resources, how to evade landmines left by Mujaheddins, how it is to fight the whole night with the wind supporting the tent and much more. Besides I will tell a secret how to effectively loose weight in three weeks, because i lost 8kg.
And how about the summit? Noshaq is the highest mountain in Afghanistan located in the middle of the Hindu Kush mountain range at the border with Pakistan. Together with my friend we climbed 7200m from where one can see only mountains up to the horizon. Furthermore, it is important to emphasize that we did it in this harsh and unknown terrain for Inga, a child of our friends, and other kids with SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy). We gave our best and the tiny pink pig (her favorite toy) was always with us. We believe that this will directly or indirectly accelerate research on cure against SMA.
The talk will be in English
